Meet melissa
Melissa Kurzmiller is an educator who decided to pursue women’s wellness education after 10 years as a general and special educator for children in pre-K through 8th grade in both public schools and at a private homeschool tutorial. She received a Master of Arts in Education from Gratz College before deciding to focus on providing ongoing educational opportunities for adults.
She is a certified Women’s Wellness Educator through Well Grounded Institute and almost finished her certification to be an Aromatherapist through Aromahead Institute. She combines her understanding of effective teaching strategies with a love for holistic practices to support vibrant living.
She is also a licensed therapeutic foster parent through Kennedy Krieger’s Therapeutic Foster Care program which cares for children with significant medical or emotional/behavioral challenges. In addition to her “core four” (three biological children and one adopted child), she and her husband often have additional foster children.
When she isn’t busy caring for or playing with them, you can find her running Bountiful Blessings Barn (a free store for newly placed foster/adoptive children that provides clothes, shoes, and other necessities). Additionally, she processes and distributes 1-2 tons of food a week in her volunteer role as the Anne Arundel County coordinator for the non-profit food recovery organization Celestial Manna.
